Almost one year ago we launched the "All Are Welcome" Capital Appeal at St. John's. Together, we hoped to raise funds to remodel the narthex area and update part of our kitchen. Both of these spaces are places of welcome.
The narthex is the first thing most visitors see when they come to worship. We want them to sense welcome when they pull open those heavy wooden doors and dare to wander inside. The kitchen is used all week long to feed little ones who attend childcare and preschool here. It also helps prepare the free community meal we offer monthly and lots of fellowship events for the St. John's community.
It has been exciting to see the pledges turn to actual funds received. Both projects were finished this winter and we're so pleased with how they turned out. Come and see for yourself!
